events in los angeles on my radar
↳ its been years since I’ve been to one of these events. before the pandemic, it was lovingly run by Rodent and Bana Haffar. they passed the torch to a new group of four dudes who imo kinda fumbled it. the fact that its now on the west side in a santa monica park has me thinking there’s new blood running the show. i’m curious… but am i curious enough to cross the 405???

↳ it's got Blippo+, it's got YACHT, it's got Brent Weinbach, it's at Revenge Of. that's enough for me.
↳ Holly and Mat have been on the cutting edge of art and ai throughout this current arc. They recently announced a show at the MoMA next year. Should be interesting to hear what they're thinking about.
↳ I'd never heard of Gelli Haha when she took the stage at the IHeartComics holiday party last year and I'm pretty sure almost no one else had. But I was instantly a big fan. The energy, the costumes, the choreography, the jams... it's amazing when something so fully-formed and fresh comes along so unexpectedly. Anyway, her profile has risen significantly in the last year (deservedly) and taking her show to Bob Baker sounds perfect.
↳ I'm always hearing hype from friends about Mindy Seu's performance lectures. Never seen one myself, but her reputation precedes her. I love going to Redcat too.
